This post over on the blogs got me thinking about a lot of details of the Entryway Pavilion, which I haven't thought about in a long time.
I'm not sure I agree with ThothDjehuti (the author of the blog) that Dalton created OP to help humanity reach some kind of collective transcendence or enlightenment... but I do agree that there was something distinctly church-like about the atmosphere of the pavilion.
As Thoth mentions in his post, the music had a really expansive orchestral sound (hard to describe). He links to this piece of music which I think is from a film soundtrack. It evokes a similar feeling without sounding quite the same (it's a bit more "2010s" sounding than the music I remember from OmniPark in the 80s).
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else remembers any other details about the pavilion. I remember a lot of huge posters depicting the themes and motifs of the Realms, and a lot of colorful banners hanging from the ceiling. And I remember a lot of light, because that place had huge windows! It really was a gorgeous place to shift your mind into "OP mode" as you entered the park.
